Mirandese music is closely connected to the cultural traditions of the Mirandese people. Its roots reflect a combination of Celtic, Roman, Iberian, and Visigothic influences. Mirandese, the second official language of Portugal, is a language of Astur-Leonese origin spoken in the Lands of Miranda. The music of this region has a strong link to the Mirandese Language, with many traditional songs sung in this language.
