Context:
Many regions have a significant diaspora spread around the world, especially in Europe and America, which maintains emotional ties with its land of origin but invests little locally. Although immigrants and emigrants are interested in investing capital in their home region, they often face challenges such as a lack of structured information, complex bureaucracy and uncertainty about the return on investment. At the same time, these localities need significant investment, available on the international market, to boost new businesses, energise the economy and create jobs.
Stakeholders:
Town Hall, Business Associations, Emigrants, Co-operatives, Financial Institutions, Local Entrepreneurs.
Challenge:
How can we create a favourable and accessible environment for the diaspora to invest in the territory, promoting sustainable economic opportunities?
